Fundraising is vital for the NGVFA. Without the continued support of individuals and businesses around the country we could not provide the excellent services offered to our members.
There are lots of different ways for you to get involved; here are a few ideas to get you started:
We have signed up to this free organisation to increase our chances of raising much needed funds for the NGVFA. It"s easy to do and you donít have to leave your home as they pick up the bags from you. So if you have clothes that you don"t want anymore and don"t know what to do with them then read on.
So briefly about the scheme: Clothes for Charity have a great website where anyone who wants to donate clothes to our charity can log in, click on our logo and request a bag to be sent to you. Once you"ve filled the bag go back to the website and arrange for the collection of the bag, which is then processed at their depot and we will receive £200 per tonne for the recycled goods.
Follow the link below to get started, and thank you for helping us to continue to provide the services to the many veterans and their families who are in need.
Get involved in a charity challenge and raise funds for the NGVFA whilst you do it. Whether it is running a marathon, jumping out of a plane, or shaving off your hair, taking part in a charity challenge is a great way to raise funds and have a great time whilst you're doing it.
The NGVFA have a dedicated online website in partnership with Just Giving where you can make a free online fundraising page in minutes:

Alternatively please contact us for sponsorship forms.
You can donate directly in the following ways:
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. For more information on how to donate as an individual see our section Make a Donation, and remember if you pay tax, for every £1 you donate the NGVFA can claim another 25p in gift aid from the Government.
The NGVFA are ideally placed to build a close and rewarding relationship with one or more corporate partners. This can help to build a positive public perception of your company, as well as increasing employee motivation.
There are a number of mutually beneficial ways for companies to become involved with the NGVFA, which include:
Donations - A tax effective way of enabling your company to provide support to the wider community.
Match Funding - Offering your employees the opportunity of doubling the money they raise for the NGVFA.
Making the NGVFA your Charity of the Year - Enhancing and promoting your business whilst raising vital funds for the NGVFA.
There are all kinds of events, going on all over the country, all year round, and every single one of them has the potential to be a fundraising event for the NGVFA.
Whether itís an air-show, a local park fun day, a tombola in a supermarket, or an agricultural event, if you, your family or your friends can spend even just one day a year running a stand for the NGVFA, with the money raised you could help hundreds of veterans receive the support they deserve.
The NGVFA staff and members attend events all over the country and help is always needed for manning the stalls or even just setting things up. If you would like to help please contact us. Alternatively if you would like to organise something yourself please contact us to discuss our fundraising events kit.
Currently the NGVFA have around 100 tubs spread across the U.K. collecting much needed funds for our cause, and also helping to raise awareness of the charity.
Each tub can raise £50 for the charity, but we need to get more out there. It takes a very short amount of time to do, and can return a large amount of funds. Do you or your family know anyone with a shop, a restaurant, a pub, a fish and chip shop, anywhere you think might take an NGVFA tub?
With the money earned from one tub you can help provide a session of counselling for a Veteran, or keep the 24 hour free phone number going for 6 more months. If you are interested in taking a tub please contact us.
The NGVFA have a wide range of merchandise available, including:
With a percentage of every item sold going towards the NGVFAís continued support of Veterans.
To view the full catalogue go to the NGVFA Shop.

Instead of sending flowers when someone close dies, friends and family sometimes prefer giving a donation to a particular cause in memory of a loved one.
Donations like this go a long way towards helping the NGVFA to continue providing services that make such a difference to the daily lives of so many veterans.
